a little delay...

The delivery of our fabric for the Harlequin Chic and Neige testers has (sadly) been delayed by one week. We apologize to those who were on the first leg of our tester lists, and were expecting a some fluffy mail next week. I have a feeling that jolly ole Saint Nicholas may arrive closer to the New Year than Noël...

Visiting our finishers in Chittenden County, has been put on hold and I've had to find other things to busy myself with this week. My thoughtful husband was eager to assist in the task, and quickly put me to work in the hay loft tossing bales.

First cut hay is going for $4.50 a bale at Rolling Acres Farm this time of year. With our extra acreage on the farm we're able to sell surplus feed here and there as a supplemental income.

With the volatile commodities markets and questionable milk prices, it's a welcome task. As an added bonus, throwing a few dozen fifty pound bales around the hay-loft burned the calories from that extra slice of cranberry-orange bread I helped myself to this morning...

In the meantime, please be sure that you've signed up for monthly news letter, "le journal", as January holds exclusive surprises for subscribers...
